Some history : You may recall in most military aviation forces, after a bombing run in WWII campaigns, or most
recently, gulf conflicts, pilots were often debriefed of their mission. This post analytical process was to serve
to improve future bombing campaign outcomes and accuracy of mission flights. It is also to assist staff to recover
emotionally from a traumatic event and to be able to return to work.
Today, debriefing in the business world is important to analyse ones actions where there has been participation, and
is critical in learning and development, this may be in the way of implementing safer methods or by way of better
working enviroments. The benefits are limitless, there may be several debriefings if a large project is undertaken
to ensure future success or to keep a project on track or even to expose weaknesses, and where these can be strengthened.
